Following the Annual General Meeting held on October 3rd, Judo Nova Scotia has a number of new appointments to their board of directors. The new members consist of:

Vice President: Mike Lavoie

Treasurer: Rae-Leah Douglas

Member at Large, Government Funding Liaison: Carrie Forbes

Member at Large, Events: Jason Scott

We would like to also extend a congratulations to those board members who were re-elected to their previous positions. The full board member list can be found at here. 

Lastly, a very large thank you to those who stepped down from their positions on the board. To Ben Zisserson, Charlene Tanner, Terrance Rochon, & Cathleen Madgett, your contributions to Judo in this province cannot be overstated and we thank you for the time and energy that you have committed over the years. 

Unfortunately, we did not have the required 20 senior Judo NS registered members to meet quorum for our scheduled AGM this past Saturday, August 25^th.

The AGM will be rescheduled to Wednesday, October 3^rd from 6:30-8:00pm at ATC, with a board meeting commencing immediately after adjournment of the AGM. 

Given that the meeting will now take place during a weekday evening, we will make accommodations for individuals to attend via video conference call. If you plan on attending via video call, please notify me as numbers may impact which platform is used.

We will re-open nominations for the board during this time. If you have previously nominated yourself, there is no need to do so again. If you would like to submit your name for election to a board position, please notify me by Wednesday, September 19^th. A link to an expanded outline of board position responsibilities is below.

8 AM to 10 AM Coaching Clinic (Season Planning) w/ Scott Tanner
10 AM to 12 PM Workshop (Engagement) w/ Dave Steele
1 PM to 3 PM Annual General Meeting (Voting Year)
3 PM to 4 PM Board Meeting
Location: Atlantic Training Centre
